In an IMPERIAL?!?

 

Just kidding.  These are notorious for this problem.  Sometimes you can just take it off the lid and shake it around – it might come back to life.


Dick Benjamin (with mercury switched trunk lights in glovebox lids and trunk lids in most of my older cars).

There is a mercury switch in the lid.
