Re: IML: Imperials & AirStreams @ Tiger Run

Hola Scot & Others

If, one was to drive to the Tiger-Run Rallye this summer in Kodac appearing Breckenridge, Colo and was to think about using their "un-tested Imperial", I would say.  Please ckeck and make sure the vehicle to trailer plug is all wired correctly so that you may use the brake controller and such.  The rear springs may need to be replaced for the Heavy duty ones that are availible ( these can be changed at home with about one hrs work and some anti-rust / lub spray ).  With the trailer just point the nose to the nearest gas station and from there make a large circle arount the area that you live in.  At the end of your test run and the tank is now empty, head for the parking area that you use.  If you have found out that you have some issues with either the trailer or the Imperial... fix them.

Those of you who drive the older Imperials all know the public looks twice at the Imperial.  Add an AirStream ( or Argosy ) behind it and they go from looking to staring.  As you motor down the High-ways and bye-ways you may sang out the song, " ... I'mmm soooo vane, ... this rides all about meee".

Rodger,

Are you planning on attending this rally? My family and I are registered. I am debating about pulling our Airstream with our '65 Imperial. I hesitate because of the mountains, and the distance on an untested car.

Hola To All

...Here is your chance to see the Rocky's and show off the AS Travel Trailer that you have behind your Imperial.  We have pulled our 1970 Overlander-InterNational Dbl with the 66 Le Baron to such an event.  I can tell ya that just one stops the talking; .. just think if more than one showed up.
