Ask for a starter for a 1994 or 1996 Dodge Durango with the V-8. I can't remember which yeilded a result when I went, but it was on the shelf and doubtless has other applications. Likely about $60. DONE. This item is common and not exotic - they are at all the chain stores, and probably at the dealerships too. Take your old starter to compare. You'll be amazed at the difference. Th ose Japanese are very clever engineers. I don't know if that's the "high performance" unit, but it is the Nippon Denso unit which is very compact, uses considerably less energy, and spins the engine like mad, which is the goal, right? Beware: sounds like a motorcycle starter, not an Imperial starter. If you don't find it locally, write to me off list for my parts-man's personal email address or check the www.440source.com website that was also suggested here. -Kenyon
