I'm sorry Mark. 61 impcoupe wrote about "getting a big hammer, heating the drum with a torch and hitting it with a BFH untile the vein in your forehead sticks out!!! you may have to replace it but it will come off!" ..... I was just speculating whether it was the vein or the drum that would need replacing.I have dealt with the rear drums on my '60 and I know they are no fun at all. I kept tightening the puller over about three days tapping and retightening until the damn things popped off in my absence. I was just having fun with 61 imcoupe's phrasing. I will say there are many who say I have a somewhat sick sense of humor.I do wish you best luck with your '61. They will come off; probably when you least expect it.Take careJim L. in OR----- Original Message -----From: Mark BattesbySent: Friday, May 11, 2007 10:43 PMSubject: Re: IML: 1961 chrysler imperial brake drumThe vein or the brake drum?
