Hi John,
You're right about the '62 being different from the '59
thru '61 however it's my '60 that has the booster problem. In the long run
I'm strongly leaning to Kenyon's advice about just having the old one
re-done. The limited experience I've had trying to stop the '60 without
the vacuum assist just moving around the drive way and the alley has convinced
me that I never want to be in a possition of
trying to stop this beast at a speed any greater than 2mph, even with new
brakes, without the booster! If either the one hiding (so far,
successfully) in my basement or on the '61 at the farm do work, it will be used
purely as a temporary measure.
My thanks to the group and to you, Kenyon and Paul
specifically for your thoughtfull input on my little problem.
As far as the '62 goes, it looks like we're on for
bringing her home either Sunday or Monday.
