FYI,
This may have been discussed earlier, but recently saw the movie “Point Blank”, a 1967 Lee Marvin film which was the basis for the 1999 remake “Payback” with Mel Gibson. Same general story line where Lee wants $93,000 that the mob stole from him. He takes a car dealer, who is a front for the local mob, on a wild ride where he totals a 1967 Imperial convertible (white over black) running back and forth between concrete bridge supports. Now I know where one of the 577 produced ended up.

Hello All, What I am about to say is strictly an opinion. Always heard that the "super cushions" were designed to take the extreme weight of the Ghia limos. This from a salesmen that specialized in New Yorkers and Imperials during that era. Really do not have any idea either way. Just a bit of "trivia" to add to this thread. Allan from Billings, Montana
