what gas do you use

Hi team what octane gas do you yanks use in these old tarts ,my 58 arrives in about 3 weeks and the best gas we have 96 octane .I just bet one of you can tell me all about pros and cons of standard fuels over home blends etc.Feel free to educate a Kiwi petrol head Regards Hoppy
