The best type of place to try for plastic chrome plating is a wheel & tire
polishing/plating shop. I've had plastic parts done for next to nothing
($20-30 for a smooth piece). These guys are always having center caps done
for O.E. wheels. From what I understand most plastic pieces are not "dipped"
or "sprayed" but it's actually a foil that is wrapped around/over the part.
Just throwing my two cents into the ring with this one guys.
