scanning in FSMs for the website

Kenyon;
 I think that the most sensible thing to do would be to scan these manuals
into downloadable files. I downloaded a complete service manual for a Lada
Niva in this way for a friend. A set-up similar to the movie clip downloads
already on the site would make the most sense in saving space. The people
that would want them could download the file and then print it out at home.
 One thing that would also save space would be to break the files up into
specific systems for the car, like a Motor manual. This would save on
reprinting the engine overhaul section of each year's manual. For example
the 1959 to 1965 Imperials all used the 413 so, other then noting production
changes, the overhaul sections were basically the same. In the case of
earlier Imperials, like mine, the Chrysler and Imperial models were lumped
into the same manual as the Plymouths and Dodges which often shared parts
like starters, generators, etc. The biggest changes from year to year would
probably be in wiring diagrams or body and trim parts. When I pick up a
scanner I may just run off the information in my Motor manual and send it
off to you.
Best Regards
