Sorry i made a mistake ! On cast iron Torqueflite the rear band
is used in R and 1 ("1" position and not the first gear of "D").
I've also remove power train from trans without removing the
trans. case; as you haven't to remove starter, converter, oil
cooler lines and the HEAVY trans. assy. It's easier and faster.
But you must be sure that front pump and regulator valve body are
clean and that the front pump oil seal isn't worn !
