I am new to the mailing list and to this whole world of older cars. I have
always loved them and finally have decided to buy one. I bought a 63 Crown
Imperial that has 70,000 original miles. I have a couple of questions.
First, I saw a comment on a web site that the 63 Imperials are not well
liked by the collector world and also by Imperial enthusiasts. Is this
true? If so, why?
Second, I closed the hood the other day and something broke when it slammed
shut. I pulled the hood handle and the cable pulled out about a foot from
the sheath. Obviously something on the latch has broken. How do I get to
the latch to repair it? Do I need to take off the entire grill or does
anyone have any tricks?
