The sticky choke syndrome can happen to any carb that requires you
to press the pedal to set the choke or one that sets automatically.
The problem is normally one of lack of lubrication or a build up of
crud on the linkage or choke components, the cure is normally
a quick squirt of WD40 or similar onto the linkage. Try this first,
if it does not have the desired effect you may have to strip and
clean the components then lube them but normally a squirt of
lube does the job.
