Joel, No, the YM43 VIN definitely indicates a 4 door hardtop. Find the fender tag on the car and check the bottom line; it should list YM23 under the BDY heading. There are other tricks to determine whether the VIN has been tampered with. Regarding color, that will appear on the fender tag also. It's on the bottom line at the end. Frost turquoise is code K; it's a light turquoise metallic, more like a light blue with a touch of green. The L code Royal Turquoise is a much, much darker blue green. My first car was an L code 66 Sport Fury and my dad bought a new K code Fury III wagon in April of 66; I guess that makes me intimately familiar with both colors. Pete in PA 70 LeBaron teal metallic! From information I've = received the 43 stands for "4 dr hardtop" but mine is a 2 door. I've = double checked the body plate on the car, title and registration that = came with the car. Am I misunderstanding something? Also, what would the color number be for the turquoise/robin's egg blue = color of 66 - Frost Turquoise or Royal Turquoise? The colors in the = online color chart don't show up well on my computer.
