sending unit

Hi George.
If you talking about the little one on the passengers side of the engine I can get you one for $6.00+shipping.
I just bought one at advanced auto parts store.
To get the big one off on the drivers side of the motor I used a stubby 9/16 wrench.
Hopes this helps not only you but anyone else that needs to change one.
Until I asked the list for help I did not know this tool was out there.
Bob

Hello, George here in Australia, is there somewhere that does mail order where I could buy on of those sockets to remove the Oil sender from the back of the Bigblocks? I have never seen any for sale over here, regards george.

Hi All.
Thanks for all the info on the sending unit.
I went and got the special socket and it came right out.
It is fixed now and after 1 year no more oil leak all this time I lot it the rear main seal.
Thanks again for the help.
Now if I could fix the front suspension that would be great I have the bars at the end of there adjustment and it still bottoms out on bumps.
Thank you all.
Bob.
PS. I can,t wait till July at Carlisle to see all the Imperials and talk to all the members that came.
