AC question

Define "dangerously high pressure"?

If you put your hand on the liquid line, is it hot to the touch? (Indicates
the compressor is compressing gas into liquid.) Is the expansion valve
cold? What about the suction line going back to the compressor?

It is POSSIBLE for an expansion valve to become blocked (and coils also)
This would mean the freon can't circulate.
