Missing Cover

George;
 The cover that you want is made out of painted sheet steel, the 1955 one is made out of a fiberglass type material given what I can recall from my friend's 55' DeSoto. If you need another one I would keep your eyes open for a 54' Chrysler or DeSoto. I wouldn't be surprised if a 53' or earlier cover would work off of any Chrysler or DeSoto model, they all used the same basic body shells as far back as 1949. The 1955 and 56' models are, however, quite different. They even went so far as to promote them as "The Hundred Million Dollar Look" when they came out as that is what it had cost them to design and retool for the 1955 cars.

Subject: IML: Missing Cover

Dear All:

    I have a 1954 Imperial w/o AC and I'm missing the outer cover which closes off the area where the heater core sits from the engine compartment. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can find a replacement cover?

Thanks.

George
