'67 hubcap annoyances...



Cliff, - let me guess, - you now have radial tires?
Radials will make the wheels "flex" more than bias-ply tires do, and may be
enough to cause this problem.  Maybe some later model wheels (designed for
use with radials) can be substituted.  I do remember some of them doing it
anyway (back then), - sometimes a few rounds of electrical tape around the
"prongs" on the wheelcovers will help.  Or if the caps are the type with the
prongs that you can "bend-out" some, - that may help too.
