80's starting problems



I forgot to add that in my experience, a carbed 318 will ALWAYS run, but 
almost never run really well. I own/owned 4 318 2bbls. I have never had any 
real trouble with the engines on any. They will start no matter what, 
however, they don't get such hot mileage and they aren't very quck.  Had a 
lot of trouble with the idle and choke settings, etc.  These were generally 
low compression motors from the dark ages of auto engineering. They will get 
you where you're going though.
