Generally, - "hardtops" have no POSTs, - sedans do. "Hardtops" look like convertibles with the window(s) down, and the door open (I am guessing that that's where the term "hardtop" came from to begin with). The question I have (regarding 2-dr cars anyway) is how some people ID whether it is a "coupe", or a "hardtop" (personally, - I think the same rules apply, - but I have driven a long ways before only to find out that not everyone shares my opinion(s).
