The Haze Green Era?

Title:
That was quite a popular color for all makes.  My mother craved a car that color, tho it took her till '72 to get it.  And then she bought a Ford.  My parents never owened any Chrysler products.

Because, I believe, "Haze Green" was a color choice
offered in 67 and 68, and that color is a distinctly
late-60's color, sort of like the avocado green and
champagne gold just screams 1970's.

Can someone tell me why the OIC site refers to the
1967 & 1968 model years as the "Haze Green Era?"
