Re: IML: '67 Exhuast replacement

Hmm. I asked a local shop about a new exhaust on my little putt putt '62
C?met, and first they said they needed for an entire day to do an estimate,
then when pressured to guesstimate, they said "About $500." This was for a
single exhaust that needed to go over the rear axle, nothing fancy. So, I
too may drive to TN from OH!

Elijah, what is 'aluminized'? Is that just a galvanic finish? Do stainless
exhaust systems make sense if I intend to own the car 'forever'? And by that
I mean that if I shell out big $$$$ for a stainless system, will it truly
last forever? I'm going to be coming into some money in a few months and I
know my '66 Coupe will need new exhaust this year, so I'd like to do the
whole dual exhaust with resonators package while I can afford it!
