This car is about 50 miles from me. Most of the derbies around here DO allow '67 and later Imperials, but outlaw pre-'67. Many of those guys are nuts (actually they all are, to just want to tear up cars in some sick "competition", when there is both drag strip and dirt circle track in the area), I tried like heck to buy a rust-free, very straight '60 New Yorker from a derbying neighbor who paid $1200 for it, couldn't get him to budge even for a profit. Yes it got smashed.
