The only way I have had these repaired is to replace the core element with new material. The old end caps (the miniature tanks that go over each end of the core material) have to be re-used, however. A good radiator shop does this every day, they are really good at it. They will pressure test it when they are done, you just bolt it back in and hook up the hoses.
