indefinitely are: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia,
Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Mexico, N. Carolina,
Tennessee,  Virginia, W. Virginia, Wyoming.

Most other states only keep records from 3-10 years.

States that keep DMV records back to 1965 or earlier are: Iowa,
Montana, N. and S. Dakota, Oregon, Washington.
