A comment on rebuild fuel pumps. Make sure you get one that has the new 'rubber' in it that resists today's gasoline mixtures. The same goes for your hoses. The new gas reacts with old rubber and things just kinda melt and leak and other things you don't want to know about. Antique Auto Celler in Weymouth, MA rebuilds pumps,sells replacements and kits. I got a kit for my 49 De Soto 6, I think it was about $30 and it is made of the new stuff. De Sotoly Ed
