Silicon will, but not as much.
The difference is two fold.
Silicon does not absorb much
moisture but if there is any
in there it does not mix with
the silicon. It sits on the
bottom like water and oil.
Then your lines will rust on
the bottom.
At least with DOT 3 or 4 the
moisture mixes and is not only
on one area of the lines.
