Once I put a rear window in my 64 Dodge. I put the weather strip on the window first. Then placed a plastic coated electrical wire in the grove around the outside of the weather strip. Placed the window in place and pulled the wire from inside the car to pull the weather strip over the sheet metal lip of the widow opening. Worked real good.
