[FWDLK] 1958 Plymouth Fuel Tank Vent Tube

Dear Fellow FWDLKR''s

                                    I notice this morning a
small black hardened mass in the garage floor.
Looking underneath my Belvedere, I can see black staining
on the fuel tank driver's side. I suspect that
my vent tube melted after adding Sta-bil fuel
stabilizer for the Winter. Sound plausible?
Any other ideas and how do I repair it, if at all?
