[FWDLK] Clutching at straws

I have a '55 Savoy with a Powerflow 6 and a manual transmission. The torque
shaft for the clutch assembly is supported a bracket that bolts to the frame
on one side, and a bracket that bolts to the bell housing on the other.
Attached to the bell housing bracket is a tapered pin with a ball on the end
of it, that fits into a bushing that slides into the torque shaft. Well,
this bushing is shot. How do I identify this part, and where can I get one?

The previous owner helped stabilize this assembly by tying rope and wire
around the pins on each end!! As a result, I've yet to disassemble the
frame bracket side -- I just can't get it apart. Is there a trick to it, or
once I get all the junk off, will I find an identical bushing?

And one more question -- there is a rod that extends from the clutch pedal
to the lever on the torque shaft. A clip holds the rod onto a pin on this
lever, but the hole in the rod is perhaps 50% larger than the pin. Is this
by design -- for those who use the clutch as a foot rest -- or am I in fact
missing some sort of bushing?

I guess it's time to buy myself a parts manual...
