[FWDLK] Exhaust Manifold Bolts

The exhaust manifolds are held on by studs and nuts. The studs have course
threads in the head with fine threaded nuts. There is a common problem with
the manifolds being attached with studs: they cannot be removed without
lifting the engine up to clear the front suspension. If the manifolds were
held on with a course threaded bolt instead, when the bolts are removed, the
manifolds slip out easily.

Is there a reason the studs were originally used? If the reason was ease of
assembly at the factory, would it be a poor decision to replace the studs
with bolts?
