The wedge-shaped sport tone trim was standard on all Canadian-built
Belvederes, and had an aluminum fill as optional. If ordered
as a two-tone, the contrasting colour on the roof was also applied within the
sport tone area.
The Belvedere style was not offered by the factory on the Savoy or
Plaza.
The standard Savoy trim was a strip of trim down the side, just
below the door handle. The Savoy sport tone trim was lower, coming from
the top of the rear bumper forward to the front edge of the front door and
sweeping down and back to a point about a foot ahead of the rear wheel opening
where it dropped to the rocker panel. The area within the trim was
painted a contrasting colour, usually,
The basic Plaza had no trim on the side, but an optional trim strip was
available that ran from the just above the rear bumper forward into the front
door. The optional Plaza sport trim was similar to the
Savoy version, but did not drop to the rocker panel. Also, the contrasting
colour was only applied ahead of the rear wheel opening.
For you Dodge lovers, re-read the above, substituting Mayfair for
Belvedere, Regent for Savoy and Crusader for Plaza.

Does anyone know if any of the Canadian Plymouths for 1958 came with the
Belvedere style Sport Tone trim? Thanks.
