Guys, while taking a break today from getting my 57 Nash ready to sell I
popped in a tape of a tv special aired in late 1957 telling a story of a
department store Santa giving away toys thus cutting profits etc. I collect
American Flyer trains (50+ years) and it showed a dept store layout. The
sponsor was Plymouth and they were pushing a contest called "Money Ahead".
you had to unscramble letters to form a word and could win $500 a month for a
lifetime! Other prizes were two new FWLK Plymouths and some lesser prizes.
Great ads showing a 58 Fury hardtop in the showroom and on the road. Still no
