Thanks to all who replied to my question.  Your answers help me avoid
purchasing the wrong part.  This was my first post to the mailing list and I
am very impressed with the number of people who are happy to share their
knowledge of these old rides.  Wish there were more people like you all at
the local parts counter!

Virtually all lenses after 48 were plastic.  Only Mopar exception I know of
is the round lens for 49 Dodge and Desoto which also go on 50 New Yorker.
