one-bay
In answer to all the speculation on the '59 Sport Fury
convert. Richard will be 55 in October. Neither he nor his father
was the original owner of the car. He bought it about '80 and I think it
came from Tennessee. It was restored "ecconomically" by '83 Was a
body off frame, but had rust in all the normal places in fenders, quarters, etc.
and I do mean all of them. "Ecconomical" way at the time was to fiberglass all
these areas-cloth and resin. All the body work has held up real well, but it has
just sat in a warehouse all these years. It's a real nice looking and
running car and is a genuine Sport Fury. Worth the opening bid?
Probably. Worth lots more. Probably not. Gary

Perhaps Richard himself did not purchase the car new,
maybe his Father? Maybe "being in the family" since new would qualify as
"original owner".(?) Regards, DaveG. ----- Original Message -----
