[FWDLK] 55-56 Idler Arm Disassembly?

It s 8:30 sunday evening and I am in the garage trying to disassemble the
front steering on the 56 Dodge. I cannot seem to get the nuts tht go on
each end of the idler arm apart. I removed the grease fittings fron the
top of both nuts. Both nuts will turn about 1 full turn in either direction
then stop dead. It looks as thought when I "tighten" them the dust seal
loosens up like it is comming apart. When I go in the direction to
"loosten" them the dust seal compresses like it is getting tighter. Are
these left handed threads? I could not find any reference in the service
manual.
I have the air gun on them but after the initial turn it stops dead. Any
ideas? Am I missing something?
Thanks
