[FWDLK] I broke a shock bolt. Replacements suggestions wanted.

Well, now I did it. I am attempting to replace the rear shocks on my 59 Dodge. While trying to loosen the nut on the pivot bolt at the top, the bolt broke. I was able to remove the pivot bolt but what to do?? Can I use a hardened bolt, shim it up to match the old one and go from there???
