I installed a CD, big amp, and 6 speakers in a 300C with generator. Works
just fine as any modern car does with just the battery providing power when car at rest. Gen/alt only fills the battery up when low for whatever electrical job is to be done. Hide the amp behind the rear seat, put the tweeters inside the defroster plumbing, the bass and midrange fit in factory holes in the front doors and the speakers played through the factory carpet that covers the lower doors in the '57. Only had to cut out the cardboard behind the carpet. Works sweet and is invisible until you open the glovebox to see the stereo/CD unit. L Jett |
