Hi all, Home from a long day of driving and walking through 3 yards spread across North Central WI. I found nothing worth taking home. Thought I found a jewel in the rough...a 57/58/59??? Dodge Pickup...the one with the fins and is sought after. It was there alright, I spied the fin and some shiny pot metal in some stick tights about 4 feet tall, just over a ridge nearly out of sight. Even tough I knew I would have a time pulling the stickers out of my clothes, I waded in! Whoa...someone was here first...picked clean, except for the bashed and broken items. she is right where she belongs...may she rest in peace. About ten minutes or so of pickin stickers, and I was off to the next yard. Nothing! There is one yard that holds promise, but I can't get in. The new owner...I understand is from the Chicago area, and only comes up to pick pieces off to sell...yup, on Ebay! No one knows his name, so they say, but when I get a chance, I am going to take up Joe Fregas detective hat and head to the courthouse...the owner has to be on public record. Another story for another time...will keep you posted. So, tomorrow I hook up the trailer, fuel up the Ram and pack my tools and clothes...off to SD to check out the auction.
