I called laysons today on their
toll free number (877-930-4088) to order the fuel sending unit, as I need
one. After exploring their website, they are mostly late '60s like all the
other big "Mopar" suppliers. And they said they put the fuel sending unit
on their website to gauge the interest in them -- they are not
available yet!! Supposedly they'll be available in April according to the
guy I talked to.
I also told the guy how
frustrating it is that all these manufacturers make stuff for most everything
but our Forward Look cars. He said they are open to '50s stuff but there
is no demand?!?!?! Circular argument: if there's no part available no one
will order it. If no one orders it why should they make it? Anyway,
I let the guy know of the untapped resource of people with $$$ in hand (us) if
they get the parts we need, they will sell. . . but the fuel sending unit I'll
have to get elsewhere for now. . .
