Of course you can purchase a car in Canada and import it into the
US. And vice versa.  There are a few things you need, like a bill
of sale, but it is relatively easy, if you're transporting the
car personally. If you're having it moved by a commercial
carrier, then their customs broker will handle the greater paper
burden that accompanies commercial carriage.

Don't let that stop you from getting what you want.
