The reason I don't think it was primer is that the inner trunk paint that I
have seen has a gloss to it. I didn't think that primer was glossy.
If it is important that your underhood and inner trunk paint match exactly,
then I recommend bringing a sample to your local paint store and have them
scan it and match it. I have a sample that I will be using, but in this
case, 'close' is good enough for me.
