Whatever engines were available in a Dodge Truck were available in a Fargo Truck or DeSoto Truck. It should be remembered that Fargo and DeSoto trucks were just Dodge trucks with a different name for certain markets and dealers. Contrary to what many believe, the Fargo truck was not a Canada-only vehicle, and not all Fargo trucks sold in Canada were built in Canada. As for the Jefferson Avenue plant, it built 122" wheelbase Dodges from 1961 to 1964 and C-body Dodges in 1966, The first Plymouth built at Jefferson Avenue since the very early 1930's was the 1981 Plymouth Reliant when the plant was converted to FWD production. C-body Plymouths were never built a Jefferson, Bill Vancouver, BC ----- Original Message ----- From: Marty Stewart To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 06, 2002 8:11 AM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] urban legend car Thanks Mike for a reply to my query, which was it logistical possible for this to happen in a Mopar factory. Looks like not. So, here's another fun question. Hemi's were available in Dodge trucks. What about Fargo trucks? I'm told the Los Angeles plant built New Yorkers some years but usually handled nothing bigger than Windsors. (My '57 was built in LA). I don't think Jefferson built Plymouths until well into the '60s (probably late '60s at that). __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
