I tried that once, the lockup converter has one one spline diffence, it
looks like it would fit but it won't(found that out the hard way). You have
to change the input shaft to use it. Also, if you don't get the rest of the
transmission together right, the converter will lock up and stay that
way(found out that the hard way too).
