I have always used these guys for rebuilds/exchanges. http://www.firmfeel.com/ Always had good luck, always happy with the result. BUT- Never had them try to do a car of a 50's vintage, always Muscle era Mopars, so I am not sure they can help you. But it never hurts to contact them.
