Everyone
You have to remember that Plymouth sold over 750,000 cars in 1957 and about
450,000-500,000 (a recession year that I didn't know about) in 1958.
So well over a million cars were sold. A lot of people aren't car nuts
like us. They don't know the difference between a Plymouth and a Chrysler,
no less the different Plymouth models and their engines. People tell me
the Fury 318cid engine in my car is a 392 Hemi all the time. I also
get it's suped up because of the 2x4 bbl carburation. Tell them it's stock
from the factory and they tell ME I'm nuts. And where did I get the fancy
air cleaners. So I just let them talk and don't say anything. It's
not worth getting upset over.
