There was a "Power Pak" available on some sixes. Not
sure about the '55 Dodges. 1956 Plymouth Data Book [for salesmen]
says:
This optional equipment includes a dual-throated carburetor, a
special intake manifold, a larger air cleaner, 3.9:1 rear axle. HP 131 [compared
to 125 w. 1v].
In the back of the book the same option is listed for the 1956
Dodge six.
No mention of dual exhaust on the six.
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I COULD GET A DODGE/PLYMOUTH SIX 2V CARB AND
INTAKE?
Not sure if there's any correlation between Tom's '55 Dodge
having windshield washers and WSW's and having a factory dual exhaust. The
WW and WSW could have been separate options. Plus it seems like the V-8
"engine power package" would be 4v plus duals.

pub - 1955 Coronet
I have a 1955 Coronet with
flathead six and duals.
Of course, the duals are not factory
equipment. ;-)
Best sounding car I have ever
owned.

[FWDLK] Excellent reference pub
I recently ordered and received a
book by James T. Lenzke named ?The Standard Catalog of Chrysler
(1914-2000)?.
I bought this to find the minute
details about my 1955 Dodge Coronet with poly V8 and Powerflite
tranny. I was curious if the dual exhaust were original in that
the engine has a 2 bbl carb. According to the book, there was a
accessory option for $48 that included a windshield washer, WW tires and
engine power package. I am going to conclude here that the latter was
the addition of dual exhaust as I have the ww washer and there are WW tires on
the car and the original spare is WW. Car has 67K miles). It would
not be logical to remove the 4 bbl and replace it with a 2
bbl.
Any one else have a ?55 Coronet
with a poly 2bbl engine and duals?
