I agree with Jean. The CD might be nice, but if the scanning quality isn't great, garbage-in, garbage-out. I am old school, books on paper, not CD!! (Well, maybe War and Peace, but not a car manual.)
Anyway, consider the price of paper and ink today, and I'd opt for the book, if available and you don't have to sell your car to afford it.
