This forum does not promote dialog, but Ron is correct, The Neon "was" a
PLY, as was the
Breeze (which should have been made into a stationwagon (AWD,--to
compete with Stupid-baru), and the entry-level vans, and the "Expresso"
concept-mini-car, and the Prowler (WITH a trunk---the proto of that
model was the
[????--what was it called?The Howler--nah].
AND, the Corp could have put the SIX cyl engine, in a 4-dr-stripper
Breeze,( &/or in the Neon) called it the Roadrunner!
You get the idea; these cars would be separate and distinct from the
Dodge, and CHRY body styles.

It seemed that they were on the right track, having interesting cars at
every level. They also had hi-performance vehicles to draw folks into the
showroom. The entry level car was the Neon, followed by the PT Cruiser.
