I found yesterday I could not have left the torque converter and bellhousing on the transmission.  You may have read I separated trans from bellhousing.  Yesterday I went to remove bell and converter from the engine block.  Because the engine is frozen, I can't turn the converter to get at all the bolts at the crankshaft!  The bell is off.  Pistons soaking in Marvel Mystery Oil.  I'll give it a week and see if I can turn it over.
