Sounds like the diaphragm in the vacuum booster has developed a rupture, in a little while the rupture will be large enough to affect the brake power assist.
Time to order parts.

with a dual-system.

I did replace the vacuum hose, leading to the cannister, as it looked
like there might have been a crack in it which may have been creating a
vacuum loss, but that crack didn't go thru the hose, & the hiss iss
persissting....

So, what-all do I need to buy and do, to be hiss-less?
